The branch of haematology includes the complete study of blood cells for the diagnosis of haematological diseases like anaemia, Leukaemia, Thalassemia / haemoglobinopathies& coagulation disorders.

Critical tests like platelet count, Prothrombin time (PT), APTT & parasites (Malaria, Microfilaria).

Fully automated cell counters are used for processing including 5 part & 3 part cell counters as a backup. These counters are based on the technique of electrical impedance & light scattering.
